Primitive Sound System and Bill Dolan - D.C.'s Tavern January 15th - 9PM to Closing

Hello Y'all,
For the past few weeks a few prime members of one of the greatest rock bands ever have been spending their morning, noons and nights away from Water Music in Hoboken soaking up the ambiance in the twenty foot square we call home, D.C.'s Tavern. Well, now it is time we send off their bloody corpses to Norway upon a flaming Viking ship. Bon Voyage Motherfuckers! Holding down the turntables will be The Zillion Dollar Sadist Bill Dolan and myself. Holding down the taps will be The Bad Mongo Mike Longo. With any luck you will be holding down your liquor while your ears bleed from a non-stop barrage of Hardcore and Punk. This is a night not to be missed and I am so excited "I GOT ERECTION!"

Primitive Sound System and Bill Dolan - Thursday Jan. 4th at D.C.'s Tavern

Hello Y'all,
Wam Bam Thank You Mam! The first Thursday of every month I get to join selective powers of reason with the one and only Bill Dolan. WONDER TWIN POWERS ACTIVATE! Form of... a BEER KEG! Form of... an ALCOHOLIC! This Thursday is no different and see if you can catch us as we cross fade from Bill (10PM-12AM) to myself (12AM - Closing). Sadly, over the holiday weekend one of my biggest musical influences passed, James Brown, The Godfather of Soul. My next night at Maxwell's (first Tuesday of every month) I am planning on paying tribute to Mr. Brown but tonight I will be bring along some of my early favorites along with a few folks who sampled his sounds.

Brooklyn's Hold Steady speak up for D.C.'s Tavern in the NY Press:
DC’s Tavern, 505 8th St., Hoboken

Kubler: The guy who drum techs for Bobby [Drake] on [the forthcoming Boys and Girls in America] is one of the owners of the place. It’s super small, and they’ve got a pool table in there, and it’s just tiny.

Finn: It’s the smallest bar I’ve ever been in. It’s like a small living room.

Kubler: It’s hardly big enough to put people in, let alone a functioning pool table. Great tunes. There’s a record player behind the bar, and you get to hear the whole side of an album.
