Primitive Sound System and SANATON! all weekend Long...

Hello Y'all,
WOW, what a f@#! week I have! On Friday, June 24th from 10PM - 11:30PM I get to spin some Summertime goodness at the Bikini Beach Blowout! Of course I didn't take this gig because I get to play records. Any chance I get to put on a bikini… I AM THERE! Expect an hour and a half of some of my favorite records. After that tsunami I will need to get home and rest up for the Jersey City Record Riot! Yes, another event that must be shouted like Vavoom! I love the Jersey City Record Riot! I always come away with some really cool records and get to hang out with and meet like minded individuals with a serious addiction. Feed that habit. Life is too short to listen to shitty music so know what you like and find it on the ONLY format that maters…vinyl. The Record Riot! is Saturday, June 25th; doors open at 9AM for $20 and admission is FREE after 11AM. THEN, back home to rest up for a SANATON! show where we get to open for one of my favorite bands of the 90's, the Archers of Loaf. Pavement may own this genre but where they went from Progressive to Pop the Archers slowly worked their way from awesome aggressive Punk band to Progressive Pop geniuses. There is no wonder they were not everyone's cup of tea… they were genuinely great and bursting with creativity. Mark and I couldn't be more excited about this show.

this is a flow-arts friendly, No Parking on the Dancefloor event...grab yer hoops/poi/staff/etc and get DOWN.

bring yer best bathing suit and check your pants at our CLOTHES check.

As much as I like electronic muzak, and hula-hooping, one thing I was missing at some burner type events etc was being able to jam out to 60s and 70s fuzzed out 45s. And considering the hula hoops origins go back to the late 50s/60s, it just makes sense. So me and my homegrrl B.A. aka BAMiAM.tv came up with this little shindig. Come escape to the 'beach' with us, right in the middle of hipsterburg! We welcome flow artists of all walks of life, hoop/poi/staff/etc, and of course if you just have your dancing feet that's all you need! And if you feel like stripping down, we'll watch your pants for you ;)

BAMiAM.tv will be mixing beach inspired visuals all night so you don't have to take the train to far rockaway.

As for the DJs, Young Chris and BoogieMan have been diggin' and droppin' heat for more then a wee minute in NYC, and were residents at the legendary Lost and Found party (RIP--my favorite Tuesday shindig for many years). They have crazy shit. Also on deck is Primitive Sound System aka Pat Longo, another reeediculous collector, DJ, and drummer. Come early to catch his ace sides before he heads back to the wife and kid. Of course between spinning I'll be spinning and then I'll be...spinning.

Should be very estupido. I expect my ninja ppls to be there, you know who you are!

rawk.
